With Bentley's 100th anniversary set to be next year, the Mulliner division is celebrating its founder with a special edition of Mulsanne. It pays homage to the company's founder father, W.O. Bentley and even includes a piece of one of his cars.
The model is ordered with a regular Mulsanne, Mulsanne Speed or Mulsanne Long Wheelbase. It was inspired by a 1930 8 Litre Bentley owned by W.O. was using as his personal vehicle. Its influence can be felt throughout the cabin and even the Mulliner illuminated cocktail cabinet with a display window with a piece of the original crankshaft from the 8 Litre that is displayed inside.
Other highlights include a chrome-colored application that runs backwards along the side of the car with an air vent that is photoetched which incorporates W.O. The front grille is patterned in 1930s-style Onyx and there's also an optional chrome cladding around the lower spoilers on the left and right. The front grille is unique, gaining chrome mesh instead of the typical body-colored mesh, which is typical of the regular Mulsanne and incorporating the Flying B logo as well.
The key box is made of Bentley wings and has a black flock lining. Individual key pouches can be purchased to match or contrast the key box. The set is also commemorative, and includes a custom 1:18 scale model of the 8 Litre and a flying 'B' paperweight and an unpublished brochure with images that have never before been seen of the original 1930s 8 Litre.
